Salary Banding £40 -45k

A unique opportunity to take the day to day financial reins of an iconic brewery as its Management Accountant. After a complete restructuring of the company, leaving it debt-free, this business has gone back to its roots and is focusing on brewing and distributing its famous traditional ales together with its growing portfolio of lagers, craft and alcohol-free beers.

The successful candidate will most likely have management account experience in the hospitality/retail industry, hold a professional accountancy qualification or be part-qualified and have a keenness to work closely with peers across the business to ensure a cohesive approach.

Reporting to the Finance Manager. 

Management Accountant 

Role & responsibilities

• Cash flow management and reporting, updating forecast on a weekly basis

• Management accounts preparation, processing month end transactions, including, but not limited to, stock adjustments, revenue, accruals and prepayments

• Management of one direct report 

• Preparation of information requests for annual external financial audit and tax computations

• Preparation of financial analysis and KPI reporting for monthly senior team meetings and board meetings

• Prepare regular and one-off reports for management, stakeholders and external parties

• Preparation and submission of CIS, Duty & VAT returns 

• Payroll preparation, P11D reporting and pension submissions  

• Preparation of customer direct debits and supplier payment runs using BACS

• Preparation of faster payments as required

• Preparation and filing of dormant subsidiary accounts

• Preparation and filing of confirmation statements for all group companies

• Weekly sales reporting

• Ad hoc project work
