The White Lion Royal Hotel in Bala reopened on Monday 3 April following a £430,000 investment by owners S.A Brain and Co Ltd.
An extensive refurbishment of the restaurant and bar has taken place, including a full upgrade of the kitchen.
There has also been a complete refurbishment of the White Lion’s 25 bedrooms.
Following the redevelopment, the White Lion has taken on an extra eight members of staff, all from the local area.
Manager Barry Hughes said: “We are delighted with the redevelopment and can’t wait to open the door to our customers old and new.
“Brains have done an excellent job of the refurbishment and it’s given the premises a new lease of life.
“The White Lion is very popular with tourists who come to explore the surrounding areas and with the newly-renovated rooms we expect to be busier than ever.
“We’ve also been able to take on another eight members of staff in various roles in the kitchen and front of house, providing much-needed employment opportunities for local people.”
The White Lion’s menu includes some fantastic dishes, including a Mexican style double chicken burger, minted lamb shank, leek and blue cheese risotto and indulgent chocolate profiterole gateaux. There’s also a stunning sharing banoffee cookie which is predicted to be a big hit.
