A warm welcome by the sea

Set in the beautifully picturesque town of Aberdyfi, the Dovey Inn is situated in the centre of town with fantastic views over the Dovey Estuary.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our ales, great pub food, comfortable accommodation and service. Boasting three bars, each with its own individual atmosphere, The Dovey is the perfect ‘home from home’.

Our seasonal menu has something for everyone from light bites and sandwiches to a hearty mixed grill. You’ll also find those classic pub favourites that never fail to satisfy. Get together with friends and family to enjoy a relaxing meal.

Our bar also plays host to regular live music, and weekly quiz nights on a Tuesday bringing the whole community together. With our wide range of draught beers and ciders, contemporary wine list and award winning cask ales, The Dovey Inn really is Aberdyfi’s social centre.

Discover Aberdyfi

There are a range of nearby attractions to enjoy; whether you want to take a stroll along the beach to Tywyn or learn to sail with Dovey Yacht club, the beach is only a few steps away. For those of you who enjoy a round of golf, the historic Aberdovey Golf Club – regarded as one of the finest courses in Wales – is close to hand.

The local train station is just a few minutes’ walk away which takes you on a journey up to Pwllheli along the coastline. Renowned as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, it’s not to be missed.

CASK MARQUE ACCREDITED

The Cask Marque Award is an accreditation which guarantees guests the perfect pint of cask ale, every time. All the cask ales on sale are tested twice a year by a qualified assessor for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste and every beer must reach the required standard in order for the licensee to pass the inspection. Mystery visits may be carried out at any time and feedback is invited from the public.

Cask Marque is an independent, non-profit making organisation formed in 1998 with the aim of improving beer quality in British pubs through the accreditation scheme, training courses on cellar management and the setting of industry standards through a series of beer quality charters, including cellar management, glass-cleanliness and line cleaning.

Over 10,000 pubs hold the Award and each one participates in the ‘World’s Biggest Ale Trail’. This allows drinkers to scan the Cask Marque certificates in the pubs using their phone and the more scans they make, the more prizes they win. Download the CaskFinder App to join the fun!
