Exquisite dining

Our philosophy is that the quality of our food should be something special, prepared with passion and pride, and served with a relaxed and friendly informality.

At the Ty Mawr, we use only fresh produce with Celtic Pride beef and pork featuring strongly on every menu. Where we really come into our own, though, is in creating seasonal dishes with some of the vegetables from our own garden.

We’re open throughout the year, serving up delicious lunches and dinners for you to enjoy with family and friends.

Explore Our Gardens

Our garden is much more than just a fantastic place to enjoy a drink in the summer sun, while taking in the fantastic view.

We put our garden to good use with 'Compost Corner' - our own little allotment where we grow everything from courgettes, potatoes, pumpkins, beans, beetroot, lettuce, cabbages and spinach. We use some of our crops to create delicious special dishes, as  well as our very own Ty Mawr chutneys which you can buy to take home.

Far reaching views

We’re the perfect year round venue, with log fires in winter months and a dazzling outdoor space for warmer weather.  Our breathtaking views are still stunning through all seasons and can be enjoyed from your seat as well as our terrace.

The gorgeous open fields surrounding the Ty Mawr are full of horses and wildlife.  It’s incredible to think that Cardiff City Centre is only a stone’s throw away, and yet up here at the Ty Mawr, you do feel as though you are in the middle of the countryside.
