Assistant Manager (9 months fixed term) - Wellington Hotel

Wellington Hotel - Mid & West Wales - Full Time

The Wellington Hotel is one of the oldest buildings in Brecon, standing proudly in the Town Square overlooking the Duke of Wellington himself. The Wellington is in a prime location at the heart of this charming historic market town, with all of Brecon's attractions within easy reach. The business has one main bar offering a menu packed with freshly prepared grills and generously portioned pub classics throughout. Popular with both locals and tourists for great food and cask ales, The Wellington also has 18 rooms that are comfortable and contemporary. The Wellington now has facilities to hold large functions and weddings.
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a similar style business to join the team!

What do we look for in an Assistant Manager? The answer is easy – its an ability to provide support, encouragement and inspiration.  All Brains Assistant Managers are a vital part of the businesses’ overall success, and we want all of our Assistant Managers to be our General Managers of the future.

We want someone who has experience of helping to manage a busy pub/restaurant environment and everything this brings with it. You’ll need to be able to head up our teams from the front, ensuring the smooth running of all parts of the business, inspiring your teams to deliver our promise to our customers.  Prioritisation and visibility to our customers is key. 

Leading the team and running the business when the General Manager is away means you’ll have every opportunity to shine. You’ll be involved in and learn all aspects of running a pub. Working well under pressure should come naturally to you as should the desire to develop your career.
